The other week I had a ton of yard work and was using my truck like any weekend warrior would, loading and unloading supplies from Home Depot in and out of the truck. The bed maybe had about 250LBS in it and when I pushed down on the back of the truck the rear suspension squeaked. It just sounded loud for a 6 month old truck. I tried it again with no load on the suspension and the same thing. Is this normal?

I'm afraid if I take it in they will just shoot some grease around the suspension and call it a day, and never fix the problem. It just surprised me that this happens no weight in the bed also.

Spray off the leafs with water , you can get gravelly silt built up in them and it will squeak .

The fix is to lubricate between the leafs , I recently did mine with motorcycle chain lube , so far all is quiet again

There is also a squeaky leaf DIY fix in ' Cheap and Free Mods '

Mine did the same thing after loading it down a little (seems to be a common issue). All of the above fixes work well, WD40 is only temp though. The others work better!

I just moved from WA, it was probably mostly the rain we got there that made WD40 only a temp fix.

hmm maybe. either way doing the sticky fix is the best way to go, just was too lazy and went the easy way.

I did my AAL a month and a half ago and now my squeaks are back. Greased the hell out if them, too. Just part of life with a leaf spring suspension.
