I am re-instating Project "No More Fatass". So, since I got married in 2008, I lost around 30 lbs down to 215ish and was well on my way to 200. Then had a setback as I went on a cruise and had thanksgiving and christmas all in 3 months. I was holding steady at around 220ish for a long time, but all the crap that's happened in the last 7 months (pregnant wife, then premie, school stuff, etc) I am back up to around 232. So, here is the summer plan: 45 minutes of running everyday and lifting/core 2 days a week, and soccer some weekends. I want to keep my calories under 2500 per day, but closer to 2000, so I am doing 2 protein shakes a day, and a healthy dinner with yogurt, nuts, pretzels, etc as snacks.
I will post my weight everyday in this thread and what my exercise was. I just got back from the gym after running/jogging 45 minutes. I started consciously forefoot striking when i run and it seems to have alleviated some of my previous knee/shin problems. So far so good. I really want to commit to this, this time around. Wish me luck.

He's doing well. He's like 5lbs 11oz. He's still down in Little Rock at the NICU probably for a few more weeks. As soon as he's good with all his feedings and poops, he can come home.

Sub'd Good luck with the youngen

My twin nieces were born premies. 1.8 and 1.14. Both are doing great and are now 13 years old. Sadly the oldest of the two has a prosthetic eye and one leg is shorter than the other. Even with the troubles she pulls through. I love my nieces dearly and I will always be here for them. :D

Look into some Vibram Five Finger running shoes. You'll run more naturally on the ball of your foot (like barefoot running). I have a knee that gets sore when I run with shoes. It's not even an issue with the Vibrams. They feel and look a little weird at first but you get used to them. It really works out your calves as well.

Barefoot running puts much less stress on your knee than running with shoes as your ankle acts like a shock absorber.
