The Ram Mount holder I posted earlier is screwed to it with machine screws and nuts, then it is screwed to the Panavise bracket that is attached at the HVAC area.

The offset swivel has a ball joint in it that essentially replaces the one you attach to your windshield. Here is the sequence: Attach the female power adapter to the backo of the NuVi (This is the piece that the ball inserts into and has the female power receptacle in it), then place the NuVi in the RAM Holder, then attach the Ram Holder to the Panavise Offset Swivel Mount (it's called a Tipper), then attach the Tipper to the Panavise Bracket that is screwed into the center lower dash panel in the HVAC area. There are other posts on TacoWorld that show you how to mount the bracket, it's where I learned how to do it. This will result in the most stable, strongest, no vibration mount for a GPS you can get. About $35 for the three parts mentioned above. I will post pics tonight.

Backside pic of RAM Mount attached to Panavise face plate (notice how the face plate is turned corner up - this was to align screw bolt holes. I think you can easily drill holes to allow a square to square fit if you wanted, I just didn't bother):

As I mentioned before, I used the Panavise Offset Tipper but I am not sure they offer it any longer. It may be hard(er) to find. The regular Tipper in one of my earlier posts will work fine. I also wrapped the excess power cable around the Panavise Bracket that attaches to the center dash. I am thinking of taking the power charger apart and resoldering it to shorten the cable which would make for a much neater installation, although you cannot see the cable wrap from the driver's seat (it's behind the unit).

The Proclip uses the same ball attachment. In fact, I believe the BALL attachmeent is actually a Garmin product? (ours was)

The ball is nice that you can buy other clips and swap the GPS from vehicle to vehicle without having attachment issues.
