    Camel spiders (also known as wind scorpions or sun spiders) belong to the order Solifugae. They are not true spiders, which belong to the order Araneae. True scorpions belong to the order Scorpiones. But all 3 belong to the same class of Arachnida .. so all are arachnids.

    With the exception of Australia (which has every other creepy crawly) Solifugae are found in deserts around the world ... including the desert southwest :eek:.
