Kihei Cafe for breakfast (every morning). Literally, we go there at least twice every time we go to Maui, one time I think we ate there every morning!

You never got the chance to drive up Haleakala? Sunrise/sunset is beautiful, I'm not sure if you can still bicycle down after a tourist got banged and died. I've been there three times and I have no interest in checking out the other islands.

What?! Telling you Kauai is pretty laid back. I go home every chance I get!

The view from lahaina is beautiful with Molokai and lanai in the distance. You don't have a view like that on Oahu, plus the view at Haleakala is like being close to god. What can I do in Kauai? I might go there or the big island next.

Site seeing wise there is a lot of hiking spots, Kokee, Sleeping Giant, Hanakai'ai, Ha'upu, etc. Na Pali Coast boat or helicopter tours, 4 wheeler tours of the country side, there is also tours of the spots from movies that were filmed on Kauai. I like going up to Loop Road and going swiming up there. Queens bath. Poli Hale is a long stretch of beach that is normally pretty peacefull. Last time I went we had about 150 ft between us and another group. Food wise I would look online...there is a lot of places I like to hit up when I'm home.

Hmm, sound like fun. I might have to check out Kauai with the family, thanks.

Overall the trip was amazing! Never been there before, definitely going back as we were not there nearly long enough to get a complete feel of the island. I might even make it a new home of things work out right....somewhere down the line.

I started checking into real estate (rentals) from solo units to house shares just to have a place to stay. Believe it or not, its far less costly to rent a place than where I was in FL but the food costs are astronomical by comparison.

The other thing would be work. Everyone I spoke with told me they had been able to find a job within 2 weeks of arrival.

If I do decide to go back for an "extended stay" I will sell the Taco, my Verucci scooter and everything else I own here on the mainland an head over with nothing more than a laptop and a suitcase with basic necessities.
