I am deciding between a tc 2' over per side lt kit or going with just new uppers and coilovers. I dont go out to the sand dunes. my truck is mostly used as my dd but i like to go offroading on weekends in bear and places close to the OC. Im not sure what to go with and if all the negative things I hear about Lt are true or not. what do you think and why?

Negative things I have heard would be gas milage, taking care of the kit, the noisey sounds they make, and a friend of mine at icon says his buddy regrets getting lt and not just a simple set up. This is why I am asking people who have it, I know not a lot of you guys have the 2" over per side kit but I think it is a perfect combo for me expecially with 4wd and being my dd. My buddy and I plan on getting an older yota and building it up so that would be my truck to rage through the desert in!

alot of metal, small engine, decent travel.
caged, camburg long travel, 50t leafpack (soon to be installed) light rack over cab, 5pt harnesses etc

if your planning on getting a older truck to mod through the dez with i would just go with a mid travel setup

shitty MPG's is a result of larger, heavier tires... not so much the LT kit itself... but when you are driving you can slam the skinny pedal to the floor and that doesnt help MPG's either

as for noise... race truck parts make race truck noises

and maitenance... everything on a vehicle requires routine maitenance...

if you plan on getting an old yota and build the hell out of that truck then i would leave your current truck stock... dont dump any money into it, save it for the old yota

To get it unattached from the UCA? Hit the flat end on the top of the spindle toward the rear of the truck with a metal hammer and it comes unattached in a couple swings.
