vsv abs help

hello everyone.

im looking for a little help here. i realize there is a mod to disable the vsc and abs system but i wasnt completely confident doing this myself so i looked at the fuse panel diagram in my manual and there where 2 fuses one labled "abs no.1 (50a) another abs no.2 (30a).

when i removed both. abs, vsc and emergency brake lights came on and a high pitch beep came from the cab. when i went for a short 15sec drive it felt as though i was loosing the brakes completely. so i put the "abs no.1"back in and the beeping stopped all the lights that where previously on where still illuminated. I went for a drive and everything seemed good and the vsc and abs where disabled. I guess what im asking is this the same as doing the other mod just without the convenience of a flick of a switch?

i think you mean vsc. but yea that sounds amazing! anyone else try it? coulda be onto something!

 

WORKS! I just tried it on my buddies truck and it worked! SOOOO much better! thanks a lot man!

 

For my own edification... what's the purpose of disabling the VSC and/or ABS?

 

The vsc is for traction control, so if it's icy and your back end get's loose, it keeps you in line by transferring power and slowing the slipping wheel. but when your wheeling, sometimes you need some tire spin, but this limits that, so taking out the fuse let's you spin your tires and essentially may help get you unstuck in many cases. abs is just part of that so we deal with loosing it.
This should be known as a cheap trick!

 

I thought there is a button to disable the VSC? or does that just disable the LSD?
