I'm looking for a used '07 Access Cab (Auto) V6 Speedway Blue TRD SPORT 4X4

You advertise it on the sites they gave you... a private sale and then you buy the vehicle you want - no trade in.

 

Last I checked, dealers still advertise cars on ebay, autotrader, craigslist, and cars.com --

 

Well I've got my truck on CraigsList but it doesn't seem very feasible now because I can't even find the truck I want to buy yet. What am I supposed to tell a private buyer, "Hey, just wait until I find the truck, kthanksbye"

 

Buy the truck you want then sell your vehicle as a private seller after.

Have you even checked with a dealer to see what they would give you on trade for your truck?

 

I can't just buy the truck, because that's a big portion of my budget.

I did check to see what they'd give me. Without looking at it they give me $6k, but the one dealership I went to, I worked them up to $7.5k so that's what I figure I'd get. Nobody found one yet??

yup... have ya considered a different color at all? speedway blue is sex and all, but apparently hard to find in what you want.

 

I play around on Autotrader a lot, I'll PM you if I find what your lookin for. Perhaps I missed it, but what kinda price range are you lookin at?

 

Hey 05TacoTRD, I'm not a lazy internet searcher. I've scavenged a lot of the main car sites (Auto Trader, Cars Direct, etc) so I've got those covered, but I appreciate the offer. I was just curious if you guys knew some local sites and one may have popped up but wasn't nationally advertised. I know, a long shot but worth it. From the prices I see, the truck will be in the 20-22k range, which is affordable to me with my trade-in.

 

Have you considered other options like a Prerunner or a DC or not blue, or not an 07, not a sport?
With that many specifics on a used truck it is not highly likely that you are not going to find one especially a Taco which are not traded as often as other makes.
Something like 05-07, 4wd only if absolutely needed since the prerunners do just fine, any color or pick a couple colors, access cab if you absolutely do not want double, why a sport, is a little more reasonable.
I did a quick search on the basics, a used 05-07 access cab 4wd, nation wide on carmax.com and there are only 4, good luck.

 

I have. I have considered not wanting a 4x4. I currently reside in FL but I do not plan on living here for the rest of my life and therefore wanted a truck that could handle that. Everything else I am pretty concrete on as well. The thing is, I just wouldn't want to compromise and then see a truck that has a feature I wanted and think, "Dang, I should have waited." I just don't want any regrets with the next truck I purchase. The truck I want is out there, I just have to find it. I realize it's a waiting game and I guess that is what I will do. I'll search periodically and maybe collect little accessories (ie skid plate, etc) for my future truck. Thanks for the help guys!

no regrets are important!!!! i found two 2009 new, not used with msrp of 27K on toyota.com searching from the orlando area for 150 miles. i also took the oportunity to search for my dream truck... since i am now in the "what if" phase. hope you find something you like
