I put it in this morning (pics coming) ... First time I've ever done ANYTHING like this on my own ... 1 1/2 hours and it was EASY!!!

Looks great too ... I'll put some pics up soon, but if you have any questions on the install hit me up ... It really wasn't that hard at all.

I was going to get the 4300, but chose the Pioneer AVH-P3300BT instead.
According to Crutchfield they said that the flip down faces won't work on the 05+ Tacoma.

    They are obviously wrong.
Did you have to doing any modifications?

I made no modifications on my 4300 with the Schosche dash kit. Works fine and screen drops as it should with no interference.

One last question... what did you use for the steering wheel controls and was it difficult to make it work with the existing steering wheel controls? Thanks

No, you need to do it when you wire the head unit in. well it would be way easier anyway. The link I posted above with the youtube video works on the 4300. its just a relay from radio shack.

What i found insalling my 4200 is that the light green wire is the wire that needs wired into the parking brake switch ,, threw my frustration i found that you can ground it to get it to work BUT it can not be constant ground !

let me explain if you ground it it will come on then when you turn the truck off and back on it will not ,, the ground has to be conected and disconected , so i bought a 3dollar tagle switch and wired it to the ground and the light green wire,,, all i have to do is turn it on after i start the truck and it plays till i turn the truck off , then i just turn it back off and back on

eather way if i get pulled over i can kill it ,

the other steering wheel controle you do not need unless you want to use the controles ,, other wise the 6 dollar wire harness is all you need

It wasnt that hard I installed mine. I think the hardest part is figuring out the steering wheel control.
