    And that's a problem why?

I don't have the time or inclination to learn how to wrench on my Taco. I taught myself how to wire aux lights, helped on my lift, but that's about it. I don't want to drop hundreds (thousands?) on tools I'll rarely use on jobs I don't know how to do.

I'd rather spend my money on shit I need for work or spend my time learning for my job. Then, I can blow my money on stuff for my truck and let someone else put it together. They have their job; I have mine. Let's not trade.

Edit: OP... yes. For oil changes.

i have an 11, and i wont be using it. f the monkeys at the dealership. my luck they will leave the drain plug loose... i dont live near any dealers, so best case scenario for me is 2-3 hours for a simple 15min oil change.

If you get a 7 year warranty but trade in the car after one year of use, you will get back 6/7 of the purchase price. If you do not use the extended warranty at all, then you can get the full purchase price back at the end of the term of 7 years. You cannot "sell" it back. They give you a refund.

the service is loaded to your VIN and the dealer just runs that to see how many changes you have left.

My wife just bought me a 2011 V6 and it came with a recommended maintenance log book in the glove box. A few weeks later I received a maintanence book in the mail with a credit card type id card and two little ones for my key chain. All they have is the VIN number and my name. The book with them lists the "free" services and it matches the maintenance log book exactly. Dealer said just call ahead for appointments and should not take more than 30 min.

As all I drive is highway I will knock out 5k miles fast, and 5k is what is in the log book and the care package book. I will use this service until it gives me a reason not to.

No coupons either. I was told it was on record by the vin #. About 2 month's after purchase, got a letter in the mail with a key chain tag.

Thinking of adding a second battery...

My 07 Taco gets fresh oil every 10k with full synthetic. I will be sending a sample next week to the lab for analysis. Have not seen any issues with performance.

As for the free crap from Toyota, my wife's 2011 Hlander came with those stupid coupons. I will be doing my own changes as I do not trust the local and only crappy dealer in this part of the dump.

I have not used it so far and don't plan to. I wonder if I can give the coupon book to a friend so they can use it?

I was quite pleased with the dealer service but before hand I put a small black mark on the filter and marked one of the tires they did what they said they would came back clean and every thing was right on the mark. After the 25K mark I will do my own though it's an hour ride to the dealer.

Do you mean keep the car but not have the warranty?

They won't go for it. I tried it. :( But that was on a Lexus, which is Toyota. Sorta.
