Formally introducing myself as a "sort of" new Tacoma owner. I actually will have owned the truck for a year as of July 16th. It is a 2004 4x4 Silver SR5 Double Cab. I bought the truck after my father was so impressed with his 99' regular cab. However, we will both be taking our trucks in for the rust inspection test soon. I love the truck to death but if I get 1.5 times the value of KBB retail I'll be a happy camper. I have heard though that they will not give 1.5 times the value of 2004's, but simply replace the frame instead. I do not think my frame is in bad shape in the first place, but can anybody give me further information from personal experience on this. I have done a lot of reading, research, and have questioned Toyota dealers. I feel as if I have nothing to lose anyways. Given 1.5 times the value I am happy. If I get a whole new frame I am happy. If my truck is in perfectly good shape I am happy. No matter what I will still be getting a new Tacoma or keeping mine. Great trucks!

Anyways, I am looking forward to all the information on this forum. I have already been reading for the past 3 hours now. I should be getting other things done. eh.

    Thanks for any help!

Edit: Sorry for posting a question in this section I just saw the big NO QUESTIONS IN THIS AREA, but to the appropriate forum.
