Will 285's work with 1.5" spacer lift

    Whippersnappers just trying to give the OP practical advise bro...can the OP do it, sure! Is it advised, probably not if they're not cool with cutting into they're wheel well lol!..That's why we're here, to try and keep people from making mistakes and to advise them in areas where there may be some issues


    Some guys get lucky and don't have to trim in the wheel wells with 285s...I got new tires before my lift, that's the only reason why I'm still running 265/75/16. I will step up to 285s once these tire wear out. I already had my cab mounts shaved just in case and I have a tubed bumper up front so I shouldn't have to trim anything :)

    Thanks for all the info guys. I dont mind doing some trimming but dont want to do a ton of it. I was given the 1.5" spacer lift was wanting to get a beefier tire but didnt want to lift the truck real high (maybe later) there just alot choices in a 285 also in a 265 70 but the 265 70 is the same as what I have now except for the height. 275 70 17's may be better just dont have alot of choices.
