Soo as much as I want a Taco it's just not feasible with being a over worked underpaid college student so I'm looking to do the next best thing, paint the hideous chrome front and rear bumpers of my Colorado to match the paint and throw out the 60/40 split bench in favor of ANY (would prefer the supreme comfort of a pair of taco buckets) bucket seat!

This being said anyone have and guides or tips on how to paint over chrome?? And also if possible the dimensions of the 05+ bucket seats? I'd ask on a Colorado board but i said how was looking for bucket seats "till i could get a real truck like a tacoma" and they shunned me:mad:. They truly believe the Colorado with it's inline 5cy that I've BARELY been able to stretch to 18.5 mpg is superior to a Tacoma, no matter what any reviewer says.....

I haven't done this myself but here are some possible steps from what I gathered from other people:

    1) Clean it as good as you can get it
    2) (wet or dry) sand paper it
    3) clean it again with rubbing alcohol
    4) take your paint and do 2-3 coats w/ clear coat---OEMPaints.com
    5) If your doing a Line-X material just spray it on along with steps 1-3
    6) let it dry and Enjoy!!

remember Not all of these steps maybe correct..... but you get the idea.

I'd be color matching it to the rest of the truck.

Anyone know where the seat dimensions could be found so I coudl know if my brackets would fit some Taco buckets?
