best way to get a lift

    oic. but with new coils i would need new uc's.

    so i am feeling like i should just stick to setting my front to 2.5 and adding on 33's later to give it a full 3.5 inch lift.

    or around there.

    You don't need new UCAs with coils. Aftermarket UCAs are nice to have because they help get the camber within spec. :thumbsup:

    The easiest & cheapest thing in your situation is to set your shocks to 2.5 and be done with it. Lots of folks run that exact setup.

    I remember my auto teacher last year told me, the actual cheapest way to do a lift, although I would not trust it. Bring the truck into a shop, remove the cab-frame bolts, lift the truck, get maybe 6-8 hockey pucks, drill the right sided holes out, get longer body-frame bolts and put the pucks on the bolts and bolt in between the cab and the frame. Now he is a comical guy but he said he did it back in the day. Costs what maybe 15 bucks? Now I'm sure there are some down sides to this, but I doubt the puck would ever have much problem staying together.

    All being said, not serious. As stated below, not reliable, not comfortable, more of a joke if anything. That is the only time I've heard of it.

    but i think that would be unreliable and give a horrific ride.

    oh ya one more question.

    if i got this and set my shocks to the lowest setting and raised the coilovers to 3.5 would that work?

    and add an AAL to the back to level it out a bit.

    It cost a bit of money -- but a helluva lot more if you consider how many times I changed out shocks, etc.

    Do it right the first time if you think you're always going to want more. :thumbsup:

    3.5 would be too hight -- would hurt your CV joints... 2.5 is all ya really need. LonghornTaco had his initially set too high and he later adjusted them down.

    ya the reason why i keep asking all these questions is because i feel like 2.5 is good. but i want to 3inches.

    for looks and for tire space to feet 33's i heard if i have 2.5 them im going to have to cut some tire in order for it to fit.
