will stock oem 6 disc work in 2006 taco?

The cd player stopped working in my 06 taco. It is a 6 disc and I found on out of an 08. Will it swap?

 

yea should work just fine, if it has any additional features they probably won't work, but other than that you're good

 

The two look identical, however, the part number on the front of the unit is different.

The 08' is - "A51837"

and my 06' is - "A51810"

I will trust you guys and just buy it.

All I have left to figure out, is how I am gonna get the six cd's out of the broken one
