Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
i rented one last Thanksgiving and went wheeling in Arizona with it, very capable 4x4 and lockers front and rear are nice, although i hardly used them. I was going to get one originally but wanted a truck so got a Tacoma. The only thing i did not like about them was the 3.8 V6 is gutless, my Tacomas 4 cylinder has more power than that thing does! Another nice thing is that you have a solid front axle

The 3.8 isn't exactly quick, but it does what it should. The JK is badass, and a hell of a lot more comfortable than any previous Wrangler. I'd love to have a Rubicon 4door.

Would be nice to have that axle under a trailer for steering. Electric steering or hydraulic steering with quick disconnect? No reason just becuz

i know which one you were talkin about, i was comparing the engines. toyotas 4.0 is a pile of junk compared to jeeps.

x2. It all depends on the driver too. You can stick a person who has never been offroading before behind a rubicon and a driver behind a somewhat stock taco that has years of experience and the taco will do better.

My Dad has a four door JK Rubicon, and it has treated him well. It tows his boat pretty well. Honestly I think the ride is fine.

When I was looking at Tacomas, I was seriously considering a 4 door JK Sahara.

The more i think about it it isn't as practical for me i suppose. I would love to get one and build it up but with my time still in the audio game i visit the hardware store quite often to grab 4'x8' sheets of mdf. that would be a pita in a jeep and i would need a trailer. I think what i will do is wait on it and get the gf to get one when she gets out of PA school, she loves the jk's as well and i'll make sure we get a rubi. if i saw one up for sale locally i might jump on it but it's still in the air. Time to put tires and rims on the taco and finish off the lift in the mean time

that white rubicon in the vid is sick btw
