Surgery tomorrow Q&A's

So tomorrow morning im going in for a oral surgery, there pulling two baby teeth that I still have because my two adults are in the roof of my mouth. So there going to pull the little ones out uncover the adult ones attach a chain and sew the roof of my mouth up. Only thing im paranoid about is I'm getting Intravenous Anesthesia, which is IV given. He says ill be fully consious but be in a twighlight type mode. Has anyone had this done? I just want to know what its like while your on anesthesia like that. I dont want that shit to hurt lol.

with my wisdom teeth pulled i got the IV type and man i asked what that white stuff was and BAM i was out haha. before you know it i woke up and was talking and wouldnt stop. i kept jumping after for some reason too.

 

Were you actually asleep? I have no idea what twighlight zone is lol

 

Thats what they gave me when i had 2 tooth post inplants.
The hole thing was like a dream. Your not out but not fully awake.
just make sure some one drives you home. Your going to be groggy for a time.

 

white stuff? no im not going to make a joke. it was propofal aka diprivan, the stuff that killed michael jackson, its awesome. we call it milk of amnesia

 

i think i was asleep i dont remember much except falling asleep then waking up like 2 seconds later

well i guess it was that stuff haha

 

All I remember was having a root canal and them giving me 4 shots of lidocaine and I still felt that ish, then I had to eat 2 pb&j sandwiches and they gave me 4 more shots and I couldn't feel a thing in my mouth for a good 24hrs after the surgery.

 

Man don't worry about it....you will be watched very closely and be on a monitor the entire time, not to mention someone just behind your head. All that person's focus is your breathing and vital signs.

It will probably be 2 seconds to you and you will be talking smack and jibbering in PACU like a drunkard for about 10 minutes.

Let us know how it went and just how much you remember of it.

And don't do anything stupid like drive or crank something up with a motor on it.

 

You need some sick trippy music to listen to after the surgery. I'd like to suggest Tool - Reflection. Last time I had anesthesia I queued up that song in my girlfriend's car so when we got back in it would play. I was shitting myself, "The song is speeding up. It's trying to get away or something. Why's it so fast?" LOL
