We have those in here too. When I lived in the city my house was infested with them. I moved to the country and now I deal with wolf spiders, brown recluse, and lord knows whatever other 8 legged mutant beasts are out here.

Especially when grown men are soooooooo much bigger than a spider. And all it takes is a simple stomp of the foot or a good slam with the hand. :p

I'd rather see a bear in my living room than a spider.

At least I can tell where a bear is gonna go! Spiders can hide under shit...for weeks...and then WHAM...come out at night and bite you with NO warning!

Me too!!! And I actually have bears where I live.
I'm told it's a myth, but I live in the country, so therefore it is a TRUTH.
Exactly!!!!!!!! My grandmother lived in Hawaii for over 40 years of her life. I first started visiting her when I was around 7. I very much remember her telling me if I heard scurrying on the floor in the middle of the night, not to worry. It was just her pet cane spider that she feeds raw meat.  And let me tell you - CANE SPIDERS ARE FN HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!!!!!!!!

I would need medication to be anywhere near there.

One of the freakiest things for me is going about my business and all of a sudden walking through a spider web...talk about a strong physical reaction/public embarrassment...

Ahhhh yes. The funny little seizure-like dance done after walking through a web is called Arachnophylactic Shock. Or do like I did... walked out my front door, apparently a big fat tarantula size spider landed on my shoulder... as soon as I noticed - half way down the steps - I had a seizure and took my shirt off. :anonymous: I hope my neighbor didn't see me.
