Nothing wrong with having a purpose built truck. Maybe he has a street truck mud truck trail truck 1/4 mile race truck.

my buddy had a samurai he bolted plywood underneath as skids. He floated over the mud and went farther than full-size trucks with 44s

What is the purpose of a 0x4 truck?

(Now don't hate on me, i know he isn't finished and hasn't put in the drive shafts yet.)

Might put a Toyota engine in a Ford but not a Ford in a Toyota.

The 302 is a solid engine. Try finding a toyo v8 with engine, trans and computer all for under 1k. I had no idea tw's members were fucking insane ballers. With money falling out their asses. Get off the toyo nutsack. There are other good drivetrains out there that are not made in japan ;)

And that truck is waaaaay more built than most on here. Ooo look at me i have bilstein shocks and a tubed bumper i pwn all wa wa wa. That motha is sas'd and the scoop may be much, but since the intake is on top, he might be putting in a blower.

Why put a toyota v8 in? A Ford 302 has more aftermarket rockers than the total aftermarket selection for toyota v8's. You're not going to have to fabricate everything. When I test drove a tundra the torgue felt like nothing compared to my dad's 1988 f250. Had lots of top end but no low end, slam you back in your seat power. As for building a purpose built truck it's the best thign to do if you can afford it. Why build a truck that can crawl, jump, bog, and float when all you want it for is one thing? Would you put a bed on a dragster so you could use it while you're not at the strip?

I agree 100%. That truck is bad ass. SAS'd and a killer leaf set up. Sorry, but toyota isnt the only good truck in the world. I personaly like ford and all of my buddies with fords have had good luck with them.
