Blacking out your tail lights in some ways yes! It looks good and also gives your truck more style but what happens when you go to dark? Or just dark enuf to make it where you become a danger to other cars and trucks on the road? State laws states that your tail lights must be seen from xxxx amount of distance threw fog and dust and at night when your tail light are altered this makes it harder to be seen at night and in the day time. Trust me off roading with blacked out tail lights is really bad especially when your with more then one truck when you slow down the truck that's behind you cant see where your rear end is at... This makes the chance of an accident more definite then when there not blacked out. Just a tip don't black out your tail lights if you off road because this happens!
