Pink Fan Clutch?

I took my truck into the dealer today, to have them take a closer look at the rattling/squeking inside the engine bay. Last time I brought it in it wasn't rattling at the time, and they guessed what the problem was, a loose belt tension pulley, which obviously wasnt the problem, this time I got it in while it was rattling, I forgot what there new diagnosis is. While looking at the engine, he asked me about the pink fan clutch and asked me if I installed aftermarket parts, which I have not, other than the K+N filter. I find this very sketchy. Either he has lack of experience with the engine or there is something else going on. Does this particular engine have the part this colour? its an 08 DC V6

The first time my boys looked under the hood of my taco they, of course, noticed the pink. They still give me crap about having pink parts on my truck.

 

Pink parts on a BlueTaco? Hmmmm....Both girl and boy parts. They have websites for that lifestyle.

Tow Package...Time to go educate the Toyota Tech.

 

Mine didn't come with the tow package and it's pink. Hell, maybe the truck anticipated me putting a hitch on it.

 

Just put TruckNutz on the hitch. That'll prove the masculinity of your truck.

its retarted but that is the standard part apparently....my 07 is the same way

sounds like that guy doesnt have any experience.....I would have closed my hood and told him to get lost....go grab a different tech

Same here! 08 V6, When I bought the truck my GF said she wanted Pink Camo on it, I laughed, really loud, then later that day Im lookin under the hood & damn! She must of gottin to the salesman... A Freakin Pink Part on my Taco! LMAO
