Ok guys, been working on the truck for a little while and it's finally picture share worthy.

So far: 5100's on all four set at 1.75" front, rear tsb, access roll up (fyi - allows full use of bed cleats), ATX Artillery's 17x9 -12mm, Falkan Rockey Mountain ATS's 265/70/17's, AVIC F90-BT in dash navi, hardwired V-1 radar.

I picked up a Mike's Mount for the V-1 but it won't fit on my rear view mirror. The auto dim and backup camera wiring cover make the stem too thick. PM me if anyone is looking for one of these.

Next up will be nfab or avid step bars and I'll finish up the audio build. I have a set of Hertz HSK 165's for the front and I need to figure out if I'm gonna run a sub. I'm kicking around the idea of trying out some 6.5" free air subs in the rear doors for a little bit of lows and let the hertz handle the front stage. I just don't want anything getting in the way of those super clean hertz speakers, so I'm on the fence about trying a setup like that. I need to research more, but I'm open to suggestions.

I like the ATX black color since it's a little different than most of the other black wheels. Maybe it has something to do with the teflon coating. Eventually I'm planning to powdercoat these, and no I can't tell because I haven't seen anyone else have that color on a tacoma and I plan to be the first!

Enjoy the pics, and I know, haterz gonna hate! The truck actually sits very level, however the one pic is slightly downhill and it looks a little raked than it normally sits.

Dude.... truck looks AWESOME! This is exactly how I will have my truck. Same setting ect... Only thing my truck is going to be a long bed... and probably silver. Im still looking and havent gotten my tacoma yet, but you have the exact set-up I will be running. Im just looking at your truck trying to imagine it in silver and with mickey thompsons! haha. But looks absolutely awesome dude!

Here are the Mickey Thompsons I was thinking of. What do you think?
    http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/wheels.php?item=ClassicLockBlack

Im still not dead set on a silver truck, but ive found one for the right price... and you know how that goes! haha

Hows the ride with the 5100's? Ive heard its a little stiffer?

Those Mickey's look good. Personally I'm not a fan of the beadlock look but that's strictly personal preference.

As far as the 5100's, I'll say this. I got into modding with my old car, and I spent so much money it wasn't even funny. I had as much in my wheels as I paid for my wheel/tire combo for this truck. I did about every mod you could do, bolt on's to engine, springs, etc etc etc. I have never bought a mod that even comes close to the improvement I got from the 5100's.

I wouldn't say that they're stiffer, I'd say that the factory truck is obnoxiously too soft. Yes, it is a stiffer ride, but it feels like a truck now. I think it handles better and oddly enough, it feels better under braking. I think there's just less forward body roll coming to stop due to the fact it's stiffer.

I love the 5100's, best money I ever spent.

I threw in a little pic of my car for my modding experience reference. I did everything to that car except painting and installing the lip kit.

Nice truck! I'll be getting rid of my XRunner soon and hope to get a lo mileage 2008 super white 4X4 Dubcab so I can throw my TRD blower, APR X-1, 7th injector and E85 670cc primaries on there. It's gonna be an auto because the 6spd Toyota puts in the 4.0l Tacomas sux donkey ballz, main reason I'm getting rid of the XRunner.

I like those ATX's. I don't want to spend any money on wheels for my 4runner but I am worried that the tires might rub the control arm so if I have to get wheels that is what I will most likely go with since they are the only wheel I seem to like that isn't too expensive

I know whenever I see a truck with fake beadlocks, I make a snide remark or two.

But I also run 15" Walker Evans on my Jeep for their utility, not their looks.

"This simulated bead lock wheel features the same great styling as our Classic II wheel with an added bead lock-type ring, polished and embossed with large M/T logos. Gives the look and feel of a real bead lock without the expense. Great for 4x4 owners that are looking for off-road race or rock crawler styling."
