    This is a MUST HAVE mod! Hard wire would be nice... but this is easy and 4 batteries out to keep the LED's burning forever! It matches so cleanly, my wife swore it's been in there all along (Aug 05) and I just put it in 2 weeks ago! Driving with the amber on, gives a very nice feel\glow... that matches the dash lites... and again looks like it belongs!!! Biggest Bang for the buck Mod I've done!!!!

    It's still in the works... We're hoping to see more interest before bringing it to market. It's not exactly cheap to produce these items and we certainly can't produce orders of only 10 or 15 units... :eek: Well, not yet anyway.

    i would run the color that matches the factory lighting constantly. thats why i would want the hardwired version. well if it ever comes to market i game. heres 1 vote for a hardwired version.

    Don't feel bad! It took us 25 revisions to design that feature into the unit. The original design was screwed into the dash - :eek: - Ouch! But, it was VERY secure. ;)

    I think most would agree, our current design is a better choice. :)

    To pull out the radio you first remove the air control panel. It looks like this might prevent the panel from being removed, is this the case? I see where a screwed in version would be better

    Perhaps not. Our original concept was to screw the unit in - we quickly scrapped the idea in lieu of our current design. A 1.6mm thick FR4 mounting plate is held in place using
    $6 3M VHB 100x200mm~ (4" X8") Double Sided Foam Adhesive Sheet Tape 5952 Automotive Mounting Industrial Grade Very High Bond 5952 (1 Sheets 100x200mm)
    3M VHB adhesive. The unit mounts to this plate magnetically.

    Therefore, only minimal interference is presented to access behind the HVAC control panel. It requires a very small degree of effort to get it out. :)
