    Took delivery of a new 2008 Tacoma Double Cab TRD on 1/19/09. I bought it on the last day of the $2000 rebate. MSRP = $30,394. I paid $25,200. Seemed like a good idea.

    This is my first 4X4, so I may have some novice questions. My Toyota inventory has included: 83 Corolla, 91 Camry, 99 Camry, 00 Tacoma, 08 Rav 4.

    I will have to part with my 2000 Tacoma Ext. Cab 2wd. It has <44k mi.

    Thanks for the welcome. I will post pictures, but it may be a while.

    Funny story about buying the truck.

    The dealer did not have it in stock, but got it on their inventory the last day of the rebate so I could buy it. I started doing paperwork and got cold feet. Left without buying it.

    The next morning, Toyota lets the rebates expire. The dealer calls me back and offers 500 off. I said I'll think about it. 20 mins later he calls back and says I get the 2000 rebate + another 500 off. Says they put enough info in the computer for me to get the rebate, but can't get the rebate for anyone else. Says he doesn't want to be stuck with an 08 that has no incentive. So, without asking I got 1000 off.
