Today I was with my gf in here new Tacoma (used 2010). She's only had the truck for about a month. When going to adjust the mirror it fell off with a chuck of glass attached to the metal tab. We were both kinda shocked to see that the mirror had taken some glass with it.

I've never seen a rear view mirror fall off before while taking a chuck of glass with it. Anyone else ran into this issue before with their Tacomas or other vehicles? Any recommended short term fixes till we can get a new windshield?

it's a bit common.... the glue that holds it on is pretty strong... take it back to the dealership and have them fix it... it's only been a month.

Yeah, we are going to call the dealer tomorrow and see what they have to say.

Since it was a used vehicle purchase, I'm sure they will offer to replace it for free with a mandatory $600 donation for their good deed...lol
