    Haha the first time i did it my girl friend came over and saw my headlights in my oven she rolled her eyes and said "fucking tacomaworld". i laughed but it is pretty crazy putting headlights in an oven lol...

    does this affect anything with inspection? im sure it varies by state but has anyone passed with these? the only thing i can think of is the blinkers..

    Good question. It didn't noticeably affect my beam/signal output so I wouldn't think so. One quick tip: If you use Krylon Fusion, be gentle on reassembly. It takes a long time to fully cure (7 days per instructions). If you rub them on reassembly, it will chip! :cool: Other than that, it's easy and well worth they style points.

    crap bolted and welded together....
    when i did mine, i just used just plain plastic flat black spray paint. No sanding is required, also since it doesnt affect the light output of the headlight your inspection should go just fine. If your at all worried about the inspection, tape off the blinker area so its still chrome so it will remain stock. (i mean as bright as the blinker can be with no mod)

    yeah thats was i was thinking, taping off the blinkers. i also considered buying another set of oem headlights to do the mod on a. just incase i fucked up and b. if they didnt pass inspection. anyone have an idea of how much a pair of oem headlights from toyota would cost?

    I wanna do the BHLM so bad but have not had the time lately...I also live on the 3rd floor of my apartment so I don't have many places to do the prep and paint.

    I just got a new OEM set of headlights because the old ones got cracked on the DTRL lens from the heat.

    Hey BulletToothTony I live in Houston, do you think you can give me a hand if I take a trip down to Huntsville? :rolleyes:

    It's an 89 Toyota Pickup. I got some stuff done to it.. FJ axles going under it soon.
    I heard the roof is good for painting.
    Just watch for those cross 45mph gusts...those might hurt you
