Dammm Who paid $30K for any Tacoma? Negotiate much?

Funny how when things go wrong its a "$30K truck" but when purchased everybody got great deals and paid $25K LOL

The truck is only worth a few thousand less than anyone paid for it.Nothing more...The newer it is the more one loses.

The best bang for the buck cost ratio right now is paying cash for a low miles 07.

ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
Toyota dealerships can be tricky at times, just try a different dealer. The dealers out here tend to think toyota still has the reputation they did 5 years ago. They build awesome trucks but their is finally some competition and they need to realize it.
I agree you will get hosed on the trade and a new set of leafs is your best option even if you cant get the tsb. If you cant get the tsb just send a letter to the dealership and document you complaints just to make sure the right people know how you feel.

Damn, I didn't read all 11 pages of crap but I did the same thing after I bought my truck. I actually test drove a Chevy 3 months afterwards and, if the money had worked out, I would have jumped and traded a brand new truck. I was not aware of the TSBs (was not a TW member at the time) and I had a new truck bottoming out with a light load and 2 dealerships wouldn't help me. One actually tried selling me a Tundra and I told the salesmen he was crazy if he's telling me I need a V8, 1/2 ton pick-up to haul 400 lbs in the bed. I eventually went through Toyota Customer Service, found the TSBs and brought it to the dealer and got it taken care of but the point is I see where the OP is coming from and don't blame him a bit.

On the other hand, if you're just trying to get some free work out of a dealership when you don't really need it, shame on you and quit yer bitchin'.

First what happened? what is the issue?

I would ask the service manager if they have a customer feedback form online or hard copy. He will wonder why your asking for sure....

If not, get the name of the service manager, your issue with there lack of service, name of dealership and call Toyota corporate. I am sure someone will address your concerns. They do not like negative feedback due to poor customer service....at all. I have a close friend who works for Toyota and the report cards (feedback forms) get close looks. People can loose there job over poor customer service.

As a last resort, ask to meet with the owner of the dealership, that is a fair request. I am sure he does not you treated unfairly or poorly. He is in business to make money and keep customers not loose them.

I don't think you have exhausted all options yet. Its your choice to do whatever you wish. However, you may be just jumping the gun a little. Both Toyota dealerships I use here in Charlotte provide me with customer feedback forms. I have to say they take excellent care of me whenever I am use there service dept.

If all else fails try another dealership. As far as buying a Silverado...something I would not even consider ever. I have a problem with GM as a Goverment owned auto company and our taxpayer dollars bailing the the UAW out. I won't even go into the poor quaility. Ok, off my rant....:D

Jeff, Did you ever get the TSB done? I had it on my truck when it was new with no problems. I bought the truck from the dealership that gave me the best deal. They are about 1/2 hour 45 minute drive from my house so whenever I needed anything done I went to the dealership closest. Don't know what dealership is giving you problems, Day Toyota has been great for for service. They performed the TSB no questions asked.

TSB has officially been extended to 2010 and 2011. I don't know why any dealership would give any grief now (pretty straight forward). My dealership ordered the parts and is ready to install when I come in for service in a month or so. Their only questions were related to whether I was sure I wanted to do it or not..... will have a stiffer ride. I answered that I bought a truck and stiff is better than bottoming out for me.

Good to know Day Toyota has good service. I bought my truck at Rohrich and get pretty good service there. They replaced my blower no questions asked when I had the tick/squeal from it. I have not tried for the TSB yet. Have not really needed it yet.

the thing is that toyota needs to put their trucks in the condition they say they are, directly off the lot, if the sticker on the window says it can tow 6500lbs, it better tow that shit directly off the lot...

not, "oh i may need to tow, so im gonna go and hassle the dealer for the leaf springs that are SUPPOSED to be in the truck..."

i know toyotas reasoning behind having the 3 leaf pack in there, but people shouldnt be buying a truck for a car-like ride..thats just bullshit

Don't let up, and ask for arbitration, and copy Customer Satisfaction (Toyota USA) with your request, remember your trucks carrying capacity was "De"rated without your approval when purchasing.
After arbitration, if not sucessful consider starting a Class Action Lawsuit or threat.
