So my AC stopped working today, I was driving stopped and turned off the truck for a about a minute started it back up and there was warm air blowing out the vents, I noticed the light on the AC button was blinking so i turned it off, and then on again, the was a loud enough hum type noise for about 5 seconds, and still no cold ac, ive done some researching on here and other toyota forums, alot of people were saying it was the clutch relay, but nobody had reported the hum noise i heard, except for YIOTTA on here but he never got an answer, because of that noise am I right in assuming the compressor is bad/ is there a way to test the compressor
    Thanks again for any help

You probably need to start by having your refrigerant charge tested. If the refrigerant is low, the truck most likely has programming that won't engage the A/C clutch. Maybe that's what it's telling you with the blinky light.

Your A/C compressor will not engage if there is not enough refrigerant in the system for it operate properly. You need to take to a shop and have them diagnose your problem. The first step in diagnosing an A/C problem is evacuating the system and recharging it to see if everything works properly, then inspecting for leaks. I've heard of compressors failing on the 2nd gens but not that often.

I used the regular gauge handle u can use to fill up your ac system with the gauge on it, and it read high at 100psi, would my CEL come on if it were the compressor, or the high pressure level, I also just got my ultragauge in today and tried to read codes with it, no codes appeared

No it would not set any codes. Was the 100psi static? or was it while running? You can't really tell how much is in the system without actually removing it and recharging it. I've evacuated some A/C systems that had a static pressure of 100psi and a running pressure of 200psi and it only took out .25lbs from the system when it actually held 2.0lbs. Normal running A/C pressures should be about 210psi high side and 30psi low side.

Since your A/C light is blinking it sounds like you definetly have a problem that needs to be addressed.

The codes you read with an OBD-2 scanner (like Ultragauge) are going to be engine system codes. Other vehicle systems (ABS, SRS, HVAC) may have their own trouble codes, but you have to have a reader that can access them.
