just got my ddm headlight kit?

Maybe the bulbs upside down....
Beam pattern u won't be able to adjust much, u will have scatter just because its the nature of the beast. U can't have a crisp pattern from an hid bulb in a halogen developed housing.

U can adjust the headlights up/down
And side to side with the normal adjustment screws on the housing, but urs should look rlly bright already. Somethings wrong, unless u got a 10000K bulb

ya i think ill try and adjust how they are aiming. are the screws the two silver ones on the back of the housing?? and i have the metal cover on the bottom of the light not the top is that the right way?
