Thought that would get some of you guys off the couch:)

School starts in a week and I need to read and write a two page paper in German. I haven't started the book, but I did some research and found out that it was published in English! Only problem I have is that I can't find a copy that is for sure printed in English. As poor as I am I am willing to throw up a $5 reward (Poor HS student, gimme a break, I already showed ya teh babes) to anyone that can find this book for sale online that is relative to the Midwest (I.e. NOT Germany, and not a $35 book)

Title: Das Paradies Liegt in Amerika
    Author: Karin Gundisch
ISBN (don't know if this would be different for the english/german copy): ISBN: 3407784007

According to the preview copyright page, that sounds like the correct book. It says it was originally published in a slightly different form as Das Paradies Liegt in Amerika

Hmm this is true. But if they translated the book why wouldn't they translate the title correctly? Das paradies liegt in amerika means "paradise lies in America".

:notsure: Maybe the translator felt the English title better described the theme of the book.

After reading some reviews in German and English I'm not convinced that the book was translated word for word. Not only that but i need it pretty quick here, and one day shipping is $17 . But David did pick out the book in English so I guess I'll have to pay up. You got an e-mail bud?

Lol well I dunno if I wanna buy it and have two copies of the same book :/

Edit: when I searched in google it showed that it was on a list of books that should be translated into english, and that popped into the google description while the book itself was actually written in German
