    Hey guys..

I've been working on exchanging my headers all day..and am down to the last two lower nuts on the drivers side coming off the block.

Any recommendations for tools that can get those last two 12 mm nuts off?

Need to smog to pay my tags by the end of the month..

    Thanks in advance..

hey man that sucks, have you tried these

Edit changed the site had the wrong one

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003M68V64/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER

    Edit

they grab the sides not the ends so there supposed to be able to get a stripped nut. ive seen them at sears or craftsmen has a similar model wrench. or have you tried a gator grip socket.

    http://www.amazon.com/Gator-Grip-ETC-200MO-Universal-Socket/dp/B000065CJ8

they sell those at harbor freight and ive sometimes seen them at target at wal-mart. but i was just at harbor freight like thurs and i know they have them there.

if those dont work i have two different easy-out sets that i could probably help you get it out with but those are a pain and dont work great in tight spaces or on rusted or really stuck bolts.

let me know if there is anything i can do to help

Heat it up, douse it with water. Repeat while trying to break the nut loose.
Blaster may help in other areas, but exhaust needs more convincing!

Do you have a welder? You can weld a nut to the bolt head and then remove it. The heat from welding is often enough to break loose any rust, too.

Well we conquered the bastard nuts, for those wondering or with similar problems we got one off with a simple 6 point deep impact socket on the end of a breaker bar which we had to remove the alternator in order to get enough swing room to move the breaker bar. The second nut = 4 1/2 inch angle grinder, nuff said.
