Hello TW, been lurking for a month or so, figured I would say hello. My rig is a box stock 06 TRD Sport access cab 4x4 with the 4.0, and 6 spd manual. It has 85K on it and I bought it used about 3 months ago. Looking to do a 3 inch lift soon, and some Badland bumpers. Very confused about what kind of lift to go with. 99.9% of the time it is a mall crawler, some say spacer lifts are ok to go with , but I do not want to damage my truck in any way. It is my daily driver, and i want to retain the toyota quaility. Here is a pic of my truck.038_1f4f660bc4c9c0e9cd33cd39f97ae725ec691964.jpg

oh yeah. downsouth motorsports is a great place to get the bilstein 5100 shocks (9 out of 10 people here will reccommend them). and toytec has alot of various lifts and products for tacomas. both offer a tacomaworld discount too!

Would this be a decent lift kit, it appears to be to me. I like that the shocks come pre-assembled. I hate compressing springs, scares me!! lol

Welcome to TW from NC  looks like a decent lift. I would stay away from spacer lifts but that one has coils so you should be good they provide pretty decent ride quality.

    .
Ditto on the above, many people get spacer lifts only to pull them back out and run with a proper lift. The 5100/eibach coil setup is pretty popular here I'm running front 5100's with trd sport coils, but, as soon a you change the geometry of the front suspension you may end up needing to drop the front differential some. If you don't go higher than 1.75 inches of lift, you should have no problem getting your alignment done by a reputable shop (other than a dealer). Any higher and you will need new upper control arms to achieve proper alignment.
As for the rears, I would highly recommend either new leafs and 5100's or at the very least, 1.5 AAL's and 5100's.
Bottom line is that you can get a 1.75 lift in the front and a 1.5 in the rear without fairly substantial mods and $$$. Anything higher and you need to install new UCA's and longer brake lines in the back.

Thanks for all the helpful advice, and warm welcome. I can see there is a lot to consider before picking out a lift, I have some research to do!! Seems like the 5100's may be the best bang for the buck.
