actually around here they knock on the door as a diversionary tactic while someone else goes around the back, and they one at the door will have some BS story about a broken down car and needing to use the phone. so this way i have weapon in hand in case i have to back search my house i dont have to run back to my shotgun first.

If you can wait til the end of this year you could go with the kel-tec's first try at a shotgun the KSG! This will be a nice legal home defense even here NY as it is a bulpup pump with an 18.1" barrel and 2 separate feed tubes that hold 7 rounds a piece. If your state like mine and it has restrictions on large capacity then they covered that by having a manual switch to change when you empty one tube. The only thing to make this better is a semi-auto! The only disadvantage may be the msrp of $800 but I foresee this reducing to the $600 range in like 6 months. This is not a NS-2000.
