The bolt on my Remington 770 keeps sticking after taking a shot. I got about 100 rounds out of it just fine before this started happening. Also I noticed the spent cartridge has the slightest bulge at the back and the primers protude a little... are these two things related? im thinking a headspace problem but im really not that gun savvy... what do you guys think?

hmm how many rounds was it doing that with?

i would just clean it up and you could polish the bolt, theres all kinds of tutorials online and youtube

if its a headspacing issue... idk. sounds bad. that could be a question for a gunsmith

    bump for someone more knowledgeable

    back to bone stock.
    take the rifle in.

a gunsmith could measure headspace in a few minutes. one of the rules of firearm safety is to NOT use one that is not functioning properly.

My guess would be a headspacing issue as well. If that's ruled out, try different ammo.
