Seriously, if you view the board everyday it just gets annoying. I searched when looking for my first lift and found multiple threads that were very informative. These people should do the same.

    :eek::p

    OP

It would help if you gave us some info about what type of offroading (if any at all) you are going to be doing.

But with that lift you linked, NOH! Body lifts may let you fit larger tires, but make the truck unsafe...Weakening links between the body and frame makes for one hellova risk if you were to ever get in an accident, and the shit can hit the fan if one breaks while wheeling.

Popular 2- 3" setups on the site are
5100's set to 2.5" (cheapest, uses stock everything except the struts and shocks. Preloads the front coils to lift the front)

    5100's with eibach/toytec coils W/ Add-a-leaf)
(what I use. Nice ride, good complete 3" lift.)

    OME Lift
(similar to the 5100's w/ eibach coils. Different people say different things, but the OME coils give a softer, more comfortable ride with matching struts compared to the 5100's)

    Toytec Ulitmate Lift Kit
(More pricey, but a good complete 3" lift)

With rear lifts, Add-a-leafs and replacement rear leaf packs (I.E OME dakars) are the way to go.

But if you have TEH MONIES

King or Fox coilovers give the BEST ride and performance.

No crazy off roading. Just basic driving around farms, woods, mud holes, swamps, etc.

I know there are a lot of posts on this stuff, but its like reading chinese for me.

Don't know a ton about all this automotive stuff, but starting and trying to learn as much as I can.

alright, how much do you want to spend?

Either the 5100's all around with the eibach/toytec coils and toytec AAL
(5100's from Downsouth Motorsports and the coils/AAl from toytec)

    http://downsouthmotorsports.com for the 5100's

    for the coils, and

    for the Add-a leaf.

    OR,

these are the two most popular. But if money is no issue (as i said before) check out the king or fox coilovers.

Keep in mind also that both of these sites have Tacomaworld discount codes that save you $$. Just look on the right side of the page for toyteclifts and downsouth motorsport.

Try giving downsouth a call. They have a great reputation and have great customer service too. Lots of guys call just to talk truck.

Hope this all helps! If you got any other questions just hit this thread up again

I don't want to spend an outrageous amount of money, but I have no problem spending dime on a high quality piece of equipment that is going to last, especially if the company has good costumer service if there is ever an issue.
