Ok, well I am new to Tacomas and have always owned jeeps. I was a member of a jeep forum and this topic came up and became very popular and helpful.

So lets give it a shot, I have not found anything like this so hopefully im not repeating anything!

mine is a 05 prerunner TRD off road, 86K only owned it three weeks and have done diff fluid, and oil change, cleaned air filter and about to do plugs and trans flush.

2006 TRD Sport, haven't done anything major in the 6 mos I've had it, but the rear spring TSB was never done, so I would imagine I'll need to get some Dakars before I haul anything bigger than my 300 lb boat.

I'll list all repairs other than maintenance (it's a short list :))
    -Blower motor chirp fix
-TSB to replace the rear leaf pack and new bilstein shocks all around
-Replaced the leaf pack again because the TSB ones flattened out
-I've had heat shields come loose on 3 occassions and cause a racket (different heat shield each time).

Aside from the suspension, it's been a pretty solid truck.

I'm confused about the intent of the OP: When you say "you have done" do you mean personally done, as in DIY work or do you mean in general what work has been done whether by you or by a professional?

    Assuming the latter:

    - torn cv boot from driving over a piece of wire that wrapped around the boot and sliced it
    - overhead compass replaced under warranty twice before I found the DIY fix on TW.

Repairs that I will need to make soon:

    - bad front diff bearing that needs replacing
    - at least one LCA bushing that is probably seized that needs to be replaced.

Note that both of these are directly related to lifting the truck and would not have been issues at stock ride height.

I purchased my 2004 4x4 last Dec with 66,000 on it. Now has 77,000 and so far I have not done any repairs just upgrade mods. My work truck is a 2007 4x4 with 50,000 on it and has not had any repairs and the only mod was an add a leaf.

ANything that would be considered a repair..i dont care about mods just service/repairs?

also, i dont care whether you have done em or a dealer...just what has been done to the truck as far as repairs/maint. looking for commonalities in repairs, or common problems to look out for if any with these trucks..they seem bulletproof...

I do notice something odd on my 2007 work truck. The air has never blown hard from the vents. I have a 2004 GMC and my 2004 Tacoma and they both blow really hard. The 2007 feels like the other trucks when on a 2 or 3 setting. It's never been a problem of not cooling or heating the cab so I usually forget about it. I keep thinking I'd have the dealer look at it but never have. Curious if anyone else has had this problem?

Honestly, coming from a Jeep, you'll find less things that'll break on you.

2006 trd access cab. I've had to replace both wheel bearings, ball joints, noisy heater fan, tsb leaf springs, tsb on the squeaky leafs, and now I'm about to put in a new front diff. I believe the roller bearing in the diff are shot and have caused a great deal of vibe post lift. Replacing the diff is cheaper than ripping it apart to replace the bearings. Oh, I have 152,000 km on her....and a one piece drive shaft to fix the takeoff shudder because of the lift.
