I always check out other Tacoma's as they go by. There's alot of them here, mostly stock (as is mine), but I find most of them don't even look... But then, I live in a city where "important" and/or rich people drive Mercedes, BMW's or (the really rich) Ferrari's, trendy folk and enviro-hippies drive a Prius or SMRT Car, and almost nobody drives a truck unless they need it for work. My friends call me a redneck or country boy (even though I grew up in the city) because I actually enjoy camping, fishing, and country music .... The new truck just adds to that reputation :D.

I always make it a point (subtely) to check out the other tacomas here. I live in northwest florida and tacomas are like cockroaches here! I mean seriously, there are 50% tacomas then 50% everything else. But unfortunately that are only a few modded tacos that cruise around, although they are f-ing nice! I guess maybe i just need to get a big ass sticker or flag that says TW. Then i will greet those that are familiar with the forum. For the record, nothing is better than a tacoma, im proud of it. Wow that almost sound patriotic... lol. Later guys and Gal(s).

Moderator, you can can this if you want. it seems the results are in. Later.

I'm with missileman. If I will only do it if I see a Taco with some mods to it. Too many ordinary people/trucks around to wave to everybody.

I am in West Texas / Eastern NM region and if you don't wave they get out and beat the shit out of you. Not many Tacos but I wave to everybody even if in some big city. IF they don't wave back then I curse their families for six generations.

I haven't seen too many Tacos on the shore... there's a guy at my NASA base that has an 6" lifted SSM Taco which is nice... but I've never actually seen him. Only parked next to him a couple of times. lol

Every time I see a Taco they check mine out and usually wave. I'm one of the only Tacos in my little area thats set up for off roading. All the others have dubs or are 5 lugs.

i always check out tacos that have some work done and so i'll look and see if the driver of the other taco is checking out mine... if they are then i give them a head nod, and usually they will return. too many non-enthusiasts out there to try and wave to everyone IMO. when i was waiting for my truck to get to me when i bought it i started counting the tacos i saw out driving... once i counted 10 in 8 miles

btw i ride a sport bike and we only wave to other sport bikes... anything else is considered a Harley and they don't get waves lol

Years ago on my HD it was ok, then every one who could drop 20k on a bike, leather & bandana was doing it. That is all played out.

I did that to a kid with down syndrome one day (thought It was just any other kid when I first honked). He put on the biggest smile I've ever seen, and waved with his whole arm... Started out just trying to have some fun, and ended up making the kids day :D.

Here in central Texas everyone waves no matter what your driving. Not so much on the highways but on the 2 lanes I'd say 6 out of 10 oncoming cars wave at you as they go by.

And how do I go about getting a TW sticker? I found this fourm this week and have lost all interest in anything else but reading mod posts and and all the topics. The first day I spent 6 hours reading old posts.

    Great site.

Ahh, the wave is over rated. I had a Jeep Wrangler and I have a motorcycle.

True about old vs new Jeeps. Newer Jeeps didn't bother me but I to some they feel like they aren't real Jeeps? Maybe it's because if you haven't had your kidneys jarred and suffered harsh front leaf suspension you're not entitled to wave? lol

On bikes, you can wave to any bike but he may not wave back either. I ride a Jap cruiser, Harley guys may not wave to me or sport bikes may not wave to me. Sometimes I'm not in the mood to wave or to wave back. Sometimes you're right in the middle of a long sweeper and the guy riding towrds you waves so then you just lift a few fingers off the left hand grip and kinda wave because you feel obligated to wave or the other guy is gonna think you're a jerk for NOT waving. lol But we've come a long way with the what you ride deal and most guys out there don't care what you ride as long as you ride. On a long ride, it can sometimes get extremely annoying with the wave after wave after wave when you just wanna cruise and not be bothered.

So, I kinda like being able to jump into my my truck and not be bothered. lol

So far as I can tell from the Jeep forum--that's exactly why! LOL! If your Heep doesn't shatter your spine over bumps, leave puddles of various fluids everywhere you park, and require prayer and possibly voodoo rituals to ensure that it starts, then its not "real." There are whole threads dedicated to discussion of whether or not one waves to JKs. I wave to all Jeeps, if they don't wave back, no biggie. :D I wave to all bikers as well, and almost always get a wave back, no matter what kind of bike.
