On a similar note, does anybody run a different weight than what is recommended (5w-30 I'm guessing??) and if so why? If it climate then what type of climate are you for your reasoning?

    Autozone was having a special:

5 quart jug of Mobil 1 5W-30 Full synthetic :$35.99

5 quart jug of Mobil 1 5W-30 Full synthetic + Mobil 1 oil filter (12.99 value) : $29.99 -yeah thats total WITH the filter.

I normally buy OEM filter and also got in on that 10 OEM filters deal. But I went ahead and used the Mobil 1 filter this time and will save the OEM filters for next time.

I'll be using up my ToyotaCare at 3-4,000mi intervals given that I make all short trips (3mi round trip to the office) using Mobil1 5W-30 conventional and either OEM or Purolator filters.

Yes, I realize this sort of defeats the purpose of the ToyotaCare but I don't mind paying for peace of mind. :D
