hey fink, you could always have it painted. I'd realistically like to get about $550 for mine, so I'm not sure if that plus paint would be worth it for you.

I thought about that but that's a lot of coin, especially with the Wet Okole order I'm going to be placing this coming week.

the first thing you need too do is get the invoice from the dealer & see what they paid for it the price will not show and extras the dealer installed on the truck but if they did not install extras you will see whta they paid for the truck including shipping the the dealership now you will have to go up not down on price for example let's say the dealer paid $19,800.00 you will have to go up & incluled tax, titled & plates I put a cap of $2,500.00 on the price so I give them a price of $21,000.00 & see if they bit if not I go up a little more & if I reach the $2,500.00 cap & they will not bit I go to a diff. dealership do it at the end of the month they are trying to get sales up, I know this inside infor. because I sold cars you can go too consumer reports & get an invoiced price for $10.00-$15.00 but the dealer has to let you see it they may try to show you a fake one you can tell if it's the invoice because it states were the truck was shipped from shipped to and so forth.
I f you have any questions PM me

    Good luck

Overstock/USAA does all of that for you, by the way. :D

    Good advice regardless.

hey delandgsxr750, thanks for the advice, I pretty much went with what the best dealer internet quote (courtesy toyota brandon) was giving and tried to negotiate $400 off for a trd sport or $500 and alloy wheels for an SR5 (both had tow packages) but they wouldn't budge or even counter offer. I made it very clear that I would come in as soon as they said yes, and write them a check, but they wouldn't budge. I even called like 7 or 8 other dealers in jacksonville and orlando, and almost all of them would say "if you can get that price, I would go buy it there" and one guy even said "I should go buy that truck and bring it here so I can make a profit off of it." So I went ahead and purchased a used 2006.

I didn't know they said that man - you should have at least let me meet you up there so I could show them paperwork on my truck and make them realize they're being morons.

Glad you found yourself a truck, though. A Tacoma is a Tacoma!
