As much as I hate to disagree but this is not true. Those boosted ecoboxes will more often than not blow the snot out of the American cars. I remember years ago being in my buddies turbo Eclipse(Chick car but fast as crap). There were two Mustangs in front of us at the light ready to run. The light turned green and they took off. He jumped on it and passed them both in the shoulder. At the next light the one guy rolls his window down and asked what he had in it. His response was 8lbs of boost.
I would avoid the Civic. Sorry I had one when I was commuting (2008) and it was a hunk of crap. The car always had some sort of issue and it would eat rear tires and the dealer(s) could never get that problem resolved.

That was years ago. Those turbo Eclipses were fast, and the Mustangs/Camaros in those years were fairly slow (when stock). With the late model cars it is a whole new ballgame. The Eclipse Turbo ran 0-60 in 6 or 7 seconds - new muscle does it in just over 4 seconds.

Bilstein 5100's on all four with some OME 885x's. Brute Force Fab front bumper. Warn winch. Koenig countersteers wrapped with duratracs.
if your looking for something good on gas get a prius lol....if you get a wrx or sti....your gonna mod it....which then will make ur mpgs poop. I went from a sti to a taco....the taco gets better gas mileage. lets just leave it at that...thats my two cents

One of my dads employees has a non molested 04 Sti. He is the original owner. All stock, only 40k. Kicker is that it came from the factory with no radio and STILL doesn't have one

He is an anal electrical engineer so you all know how clean it is.

It is mine when he sells it!!!

Notice which one is cleaner? :D The subi gets a little bit better mileage but not much. I can honestly say its the funnest car I've ever driven. Snow, rain, dirt roads, it's all a blast to drive on.
