I don't need a weapon to feel free, I am already free, armed or not. Being a free man, it is my right to arm myself if I feel like it. Unlike slaves, prisoners & people that live in countries that are named "the peoples whatever".

So just out of curiosity, do some states actually allow non LEO's to carry concealed weapons? Or is it just open carry?

The rapes in Michigan can be thwarted by a woman carrying a 32 and shooting the dude in the dick. I bet he'd lose interest quickly. Plus a little coverage of all the penis target practice that all these CCW ladies get would probably thwart several prospective rapists.

    I have a CCW.

I can carry anywhere except a bar, church, school or a bar. I'm also not allowed to carry if I've been drinking.

When I'm not carrying, I drive like a bat out of hell, when I'm carrying I obey all traffic laws, am pleasant with other drivers, won't have a beer and am an all around saint....why? Cause I don't want to have to deal with a nervous LEO when I get pulled over and tell him first thing "I have a CCW and I have a pistol in my seat" or wherever it is.

Move to AZ! Here I can open carry my Taurus .40 loaded pretty much anywhere without CCW. I always keep it in my truck when I go anywhere... Seldom I carry on my hip, only If I am going into some questionable areas at night...

I wonder what the numbers would look like if there was poll on here to see if anyone has actually had to use their gun to defend themselves? Either by shooting the weapon or just as a displayed use of force?

I havent had to and pray that I never will. I do like open carry, I have Blackhawk holster which is secure and comfortable. I look at it that if someone wants to fuck with me and see a full size .40 on my hip, they might go fuck with the next person instead.

everybody i know that has a pistol in NC (and no CCW) just throws it on the dash on the passenger side when they get pulled over. . . . and not to contest you, but to inform other readers, doesn't your restrictions also include a college campus? i know in NC you can get in mad trouble for that.

edit: then again, you may have meant that too by saying "school". . . anyway, just putting it out there.

Yes, I can't take it to college, now the VT shooting a while back was a good reason to re-visit that. When I said school I meant public school, college, or daycare.

I'll usually put my 40 in it's Uncle Mike's soft holster and wedge it between the seat and center console. or upright in the console

ok, so it is currently probably heading to his desk.

The final on this bill is not in yet.

    However, it looks - bad.
