I'd stay away from steel stuff. Aside from what the experts say (and I think they are just trying to sell it) The only thing I'd shoot Wolf or any other steel ammo out of is any type of AK/Kalashnikov design. In my experience, I've always had more FTF, FTE's, and other malfunctions with Steel Ammo. I only buy ammo, weapons, parts, etc. that I trust my life to. Train as you fight, fight as you train.

I guess you could buy steel cased ammo if you need to practice your immediate action drills on the M-4/AR-15 platform. lol

Ive shot 100 rounds, in a single session, of TULAmmo prolly the cheapest steel cased ammo on the market. Had zero problems and clean up wasnt anything special, accuracy was horrendous with it tho

In my experience the steel ammo functionality varies from gun to gun.
My first AR would eat it up and never ever malfunction. My new one is lucky to get one or two rounds of it through without jamming.

Now what the hell am I gonna do with 500 rounds of the stuff I have sitting in the garage?!

I agree with the general sentiment to stay away from wolf.. I tried some out on mine and it jammed 3 times (1st 3 rounds) with the third round seizing up in the chamber, rendering the bolt and charging handle to be "hammered" to free them up. Then I had to run some brass and piano wire down in barrel to free the casing out... Based upon that experience, I will NEVER run wolf again!

BTW, if any of you ever run into this situation, get some brass tube from your local hobby shop. (The ones that sell RC Aircraft type stuff..) They had some really nice .556 dia. brass, that I slid another piece of brass tubing which fit snug inside, and finally with some piano wire inside both that I could tap the case out with. This method helped protect the barrel by providing the friction (movement) on the inside of the outer .556 brass tube thus preventing any potential of marring the rifling.

This is what I run the most... It usually goes on sale at Gander Mountain for 29.95/100rds.. Never had a problem with this ammo.
