I make about $325 a week. I pay $213 a month for insurance on my truck. I have one speeding ticket(less than 15mph over the limit). Progressive is my provider and I have shopped all other major companies. They are the cheapest for me. All greedy whores.

I have allstate. i have 2 home owners policies, 2 cars and a bike. they give a pretty good rate for having a bunch of extra. I think the 2 cars are around 1600/year, bike is around 300-400 and the houses are 400 and 800. they def. get enough of my money, but it could be way worse as well.

Dude, you're 19...... insurance is gonna be expensive for you.

We're with Erie (Consumers Insurance) - probably not the cheapest but there's a lot of 'trust' factor involved. We've had them for 13 years or more. 4 vehicles & homeowners insurance
I don't even know what we're paying.....but I can look it up if anyone really wants to know. We've used them countless times for various accident issues and they've always been there, taken care of us, written those checks, no hassles, etc.

When you get older & married, rates will go down.

Is the vehicle in your name or your parents? You friends probably have the vehicle in their parents name & then are a 2nd driver. This would make their insurance much more affordable.

When I was 18(in 1986) I bought an Acura Integra. I checked insurance, way too expensive if the car was in my name. So I had my Dad put it in his name. I made the payments & paid the insurance. Insurance was much more affordable that way. Otherwise I would not have been able to afford the insurance.

I have Farmers. It runs me around $980 *I think* a year. American Family Insurance gave me a yearly quote with renter's insurance included with the same deductibles I have now for about $800. I think I'm going to switch to them. I have some friends that use them because they were the cheapest for them too. I'm only 20 but I do have a clean record.
On my last truck, It was my parents and I bought it from them so they just kept the insurance in their names. Ended up being $250 a year- I was quoted $1000 a year if it were in my name!

I have Geico, have had them for about 9 years now. I pay about $150/month on just my truck. I have low deductables and high coverage, clean record, discounts...going to shop around sometime though and see if Allstate that my bf is with can get lower.
