17"s or 18"s?

    3" toytec lift, 20" chrome wheels with 295/55 r20 nitto trail grapplers, leer 100xr cap w/ thule bars
    so i have an 08 access cab with the stock rims with spacers and 285/75 r16 cooper stt's. im looking into putting aftermarket rims on it when i get back from iraq, and i just wanted some opinions. should i go with 18"s with 285/65 r18s or should i go with 17"s with 285/70 r17s?

    I have 18's but i would suggest 17's only because you have a lot more options while 18's limited you to a fewer amount of wheel and tire selection.

    i was thinking about 20"s but idk if they make a tire thats a 285 for 20"s, cuz i already have minor rubbing issues with the 285s.

    They have tons of tire options for 20's, go to tire rack and look up tire options by wheel size, i didnt realize there were so many choices till i did this. But then again i am only running 20's because i got them for free via trade with another taco owner!

    295/45/20, thats what was on them when i got them, gonna increase early next year when i get my 3" lift. We have a guy in our body shop with the same wheels running 275/60/20, looks pretty darn good, but i am thinking more of a 285 option for me.

    bilstein set at 1.75, Racho 5000 rear with 4 leaf kit, floor mats, high lift jack, pull hook in hitch, bed rail corner braces, severe duty brake pads and devil horns on the grill....
    Avoid the 18", tire sizes are limited...the most choices seem to be in 17" with 16" a close second. I am running my second set of rims as 17" with studded snow tires on them.
