gps navigation for my wifes hnda accord......ideas??

we looked at the sony gps systems, but we liked the garmin a bit better, and we got the 26w on sale, and it came with the mounting kit.

what do you think about the map upgrade,by garmin, that you can buy at best buy for $100??? you think it may do the same thing?

 

Can't really speak to the map upgrade cost as I've never had one from Garmin and like you I still think Garmin is the best, simply because of the many different outlets you can get service from. I guess if you look at the price of a 26w then add the price with an upgrade for maps are you spending about the same amount of money as you would for a higher model Garmin? I might try it once just to see how it works but that's about as far as I would go price wise unless you still have the Garmin in five years--then I would do another map update.

 

yeah man....we will probably wait a while. there have been only a couple of roads/locations that were a bit mixed up, and some stuff like restraunts that werent there anymore, but for the most part............its been spot on.
