You realy lucked out, those are top of the line suspension parts. I would just remove that rear block and add the icon progressive 3 leaf add a leaf kit.

alot of metal, small engine, decent travel.
caged, camburg long travel, 50t leafpack (soon to be installed) light rack over cab, 5pt harnesses etc
and op incase you dont knowwhat a block is...

under the rear leaf spring a block was added in, this is the cheap way for getting lift in the rear, has really bad ride quality also. if you get a 2 inch leaf pack that would be your best bet, it has more leafs and provides a better ride, as well as off road capabilities

Thanks for providing an explanation regarding the blocks. I also appreciate all the suggestions on logical upgrades.

The wheels are stock 16". The tires are factory originals w/ 12k miles. Would different wheels and tires provide better overall ride and handling? In all honesty, this truck will be used on pavement 99.5% of the time.

If you don't plan to off road you have aftermarket parts that are 100X better then stock, except the rear blocks. Those are ok if you don't plan on off roading and just doing basic driving etc. etc. The rears look like the newer 2.5inch rear resis, and you have the camburge 1.25 UCA's. You pretty have all the suspension parts i do, minus the leaf pack. You prob got about 2.5-3k worth of quality suspension parts. It's a really good setup, how much you paid for your truck we dont' know.

Fedex dropped off a pair of ARB Old Man Emu Dakars (CS047R) on Friday.

$179 each and FREE SHIPPING from Amazon!!! Bought the Carrier Bearing Alignment Kit (FK29), too.

Ordered the U-bolts and polyU bushings from Wheeler's.

I am learning about all this stuff thanks to this site. I don't do real off-roading, but I do occasionally drive on rutted out USFS roads and unpaved private roads with half-buried watermelon-sized rocks.

Still contemplating the install. I can pay an offroad shop to install them for $200+ bucks, or I could buy $200 worth of floor jack, jack stands, deep socket bits and do it myself. I'm confident mechanically, but I'm not sure I want to attempt it without an impact driver. I'd hate to get stuck in the middle of the job because of one stubborn nut.

You don't need an alignment after replacing rear leafs do you???
