Am using Drift, Contour, and GoPro for a project right now, and halfway through this project the results are nutty.

Drift has been tossed to the side and won't be used again.

GoPro is useless in low-light and underwater. The housing (different ones) have leaked and become fogged. It's definitely tough, though.

The Contour is great at night, and unstoppable underwater. The files are also smaller. It's not as tough as the GoPro, though, but still works and puts out a beautifully useable image.

You can download a codec you can download that will allow you to use mp4 files in moviemaker. I dont recall exactly what it is but ill do some searching and post back.

EDIT: THIS might be what you want to download and install. Or You could buy Cyberlink PowerDirector software, it has some cool features, is cheep and intuitive. Its what I use.

Filmed my last adventure race with GoPro. Got the "chesty" mount for the event. I agree that in low light the GoPro isn't great. The sound on it is pretty crappy too but everything else about it is PERFECT!

(720p is selectable on the below video)
