Xbox 360 slim question

    I know you can use the HDD from the white 360 on the new 360 but does anyone know if you can use a SATA HDD from a laptop?? I have one but the system doesn't recognize it when I plug it in. I dunno if there is an extra step to make it work to format it to the 360 software.

    YouTube lol. You can either get an old (white) 360 hdd and take the case apart to take the 2.5" hdd out and put it in the expansion bay on the 360 slim (I think this let's you play regular non 360 xbox games also)....or get a western digital hdd and follow the steps on YouTube to flash the wd hdd with the 360 software then install and format on the 360 and bingo
