Hey everyone. Im looking to sell my truck soon and just want some opinions on what you think it should go for. KBB says about $7.5k in fair condition, but i would respect the opinions of other TW members and potential buyers more so.

Its a 2001 3.4l DC TRD 4x4. It has pretty new suspension, leafs look pretty flat but i think its just from the shackles because they was perfect before i added the 2" ones. New rear billys as well. Up front it has height adjustable billys and eibach coils with about 8k on them (installed in january 2011). Also has an all pro rear bumper on it and some lights here and there. Leafs and frame had been replaced in 2009.

The catch is though that it is high mileage. 171,000 miles and the 4x4 and rear locker wont engage as of over the winter. Im not sure if i want to spend the money to fix it if im just going to sell it. Engine runs good and strong. Timing belt should be changed soon. Its a good truck. only problems i have ever had is the 4x4. Im the original owner as well.

I just want your opinion on what you think it would go for in the condition its in. I am looking to buy a new car soon and have to sell the truck. Dont be afraid to tell me if you think its junk. Im aware its an old truck and not expecting to make a lot out of it. I just want it to sell for a reasonable price where im not getting screwed and neither is my buyer.

Don't feel like posting any pictures so just go to my build...click on the sig.

    Thanks, Dan Z

PS- I wasnt sure where to post this so dont chew me out just let me know and move it, thanks again.

drive like a champ but no 4x4? could be something simple, and that simple fix could gain more then with out it being fixed.

check your local craigslist. The phoenix area they go quick at kbb price, and are generally 2k above.

i would offer you 5 cause of the 4x4 and lack of locker. but thats just me :D

You are going to lose thousands if you don't get the 4x4 fixed.

As-is I'd say $4,500. With the 4x4 working I'd say list it for $8,500 and don't take less than $7,500.

I would be happy with 5 honestly. thats the range i was looking in. but last time i took it to toyota to be looked at they claimed they fixed it and it dosnt work again. the light doesnt come on when i try to engage it, and for the locker the light just flashes.

Im selling because of gas. I commute to school everyday durring the week, and then work on the weekends. both are about 20 miles from my house. I was just afraid that fixing them might be out of my capabilities depending on what the problem is. And if i cant i would spend more on fixing the problem than i would get from the truck.

The 4x4 is the button activated and the light used to come on but now i get nothing when i press the button. Toyota said there was dirt in the 4x4 motor, and they cleaned it last winter but it no longer works again.

Im going to try to do it myself, and if i cant i think i will just sell it at a low price. the car im looking at is a 98 s70 volvo t5 with 100k miles for $5500. the seller wont be selling it to me for another month so i may as well give myself a project in the mean time. Thanks for the input guys. Any more info/opinions will be appreciated as well.

4x4 and locker are now working! They both were just a little stuck from not being used enough. Just going to try to engage them now and then to make sure they dont stick from now on.
