All of you guys with dogs have to get the dogs to bark when someone is around. Anytime anyone comes into me driveway or to the door, they bark like mad. I give them the quiet done command then they settle down but they are still alerted.... That is a huge deterrence. Enter at your own risk... they will be met at the door by 2 german shepherds... (not that they would do anything...) they dont know that... and that is what I want you to think anyways........

mine does it instinctivley, my couch was also right next to the door about an inch to the side, so when i would open the door, he would be standing there looking you eye to eye most the time, he would stand on the arm of the couch. I lived right next to the bad neighborhood, so it made me feel better. hes one of those that likes to put on a show, he does the nasty bark, but if he knows im ok with you and you sweet talk to him he kills you with kisses and his tail, that thing is a whip, ive gotten bruises before :(

I like the bark in the house.... I praise them for it. I have trained with a 100 lb pitbull that was so dog aggressive that you couldnt get near that thing with a dog. That made training with that thing lots of fun.... electric collar on max and would still go wild. The man handling that dog weighed about 150..... so funny to see. He was kindly asked to train the dog at home with no other dogs around....:p

wow, yeah mine is over half my weight, he still has to fill out though, i made sure to train him when he was a small pup and i could still "man handle" him...theres none of that now, he loves other dogs, especially small ones, he gets on his belly and scoots towards them, kind of like an army crawl, and people still freak out cuz they think hes going to kill their dog...hes only been aggressive towards one dog, and that was a german shepard that descided to come up and try to bite him on the neck and face, he wasnt about to have any of that, gave a warning bite in return and stopped when i told him to thankfully. I dont like house barking though so only certain barks get praised, ide rather you get into the house and discover your present waiting for you.
